| Dr. Daniel M. Devasirvatham is Vice President, Technology, of the Wireless Systems Group at SAIC, in San Diego. His present work areas include Homeland Security issues, Interoperability, Telematics, indoor and outdoor communications for voice and data. He is also Chairman of the Homeland Security Taskforce of the Wireless Communications Association. Prior to this position, he was Director of Advanced Wireless Technologies Research at Telcordia Technologies, an SAIC owned subsidiary, formerly Bellcore. There, he led research in wireless broadband access (LMDS, MMDS), 2G and 3G mobile technology deployment. He also managed research on smart antennas for secure and high capacity communications. Daniel obtained his PhD in Satellite Communications as a Fulbright Scholar in 1981. |
