| Pete Fowler is responsible for product development, operations, sales, and marketing at Magis Networks. This includes driving the engineering team to move Magis chips from basic silicon to reference designs and end product. Fowler also oversees the development and execution of Magis' fabless manufacturing strategies. Additionally, as the chief marketing and sales strategist, he is responsible for developing and implementing Magis' global marketing and sales strategy. Fowler brings to Magis over 30 years of experience in the worldwide semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Magis, Fowler served as a Vice President with Cypress Semiconductor where he had a broad range of responsibilities for the company's IPD Division. He also oversaw the marketing and sales of Cypress' products to major customers in the telecommunications, wireless, set-top box, and PC peripherals markets. During his tenure with Cypress, the company became the number one supplier of USB devices in the world. Fowler joined Cypress when it acquired Anchor Chips, a start-up that was the leading supplier of full-speed USB devices. Fowler was a member of the Anchor Chips start-up team, and served as a Vice President covering all operations, sales and marketing activities. Before Anchor Chips, Fowler held several Vice President positions at Brooktree Corporation including Vice President of the ATE Business Unit, Vice President of Worldwide Sales, and Vice President of Corporate Marketing. Brooktree was acquired by Conexant. Fowler joined Brooktree following several years as a Vice President at Silicon Connections, a start-up focused on crossbar switches, system clock distribution, and high performance memories for the workstation, telecommunications, and supercomputer industries. He also held executive roles in operations, sales, and marketing with Gould AMI, Fairchild Corporation, Inmos Corporation, and Texas Instruments. Fowler earned his BSEE from Rose Polytechnic in Terre Haute, Indiana, and an MBA from the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio. |
