| Dr. McKinzie leads many of the Etenna's technical efforts in developing technology for both the voice and data markets. During his 15 years of experience in designing antennas, he has been the principal investigator on numerous research contracts and corporate IRAD efforts for low profile, tunable and reconfigurable antennas. McKinzie also led the development of new artificial electromagnetic materials, both dielectric and magnetic, for antenna applications. Prior to Etenna, McKinzie held positions at Atlantic Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and Motorola. In recent years, his interests have focused on the development and application of high-impedance electromagnetic surfaces and related periodic materials for application within extremely thin antennas. McKinzie received his master's and doctorate degrees in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, with thesis work in computational electromagnetics. |
