With over 13 years of experience in a broad variety of technologies and
security disciplines, Shannon Myers, CISSP, has been involved in many
wireless security initiatives, including Wi-Fi, GSM, GPRS, CDMA, CDMA2000,
and Satellite Security. On the leading edge of technology, she has pursued
investigating vulnerable systems before they are discovered in the wild and
has been used by many Cable and Wireless customers and vendors in auditing
their technology. Shannon currently serves on the FCC NRIC FG1B committee
as the leader of the Services group and has written hundreds of best
practices for the telecommunications sector. Serving in the Security Center
of Excellence for her company, she is deeply involved in regulatory activity
and evangelizing new security techniques to customers and staff. Her recent
accomplishments include: several white papers on wireless security, breaking
two cellular encryption schemes, numerous wireless vendor audits, and
speaking at security conferences globally.
