Biju Nair has been in the wireless telecommunications industry for more than
9 years and is currently the vice president of product development at PCTEL
located in Chicago, Il. Prior to joining PCTEL, Mr. Nair worked for Agilent
Technologies, Inc. As the manager of Wireless Planning, Design and
Management Solutions for Agilentās Wireless Networks Solutions. Nair managed
several global software teams. Prior to the acquisition by Agilent, Mr. Nair
was the Vice President and General Manager of Software Products at SAFCO
Technologies, Inc. He led the teams that brought several key SAFCO wireless
test and measurement products like VoicePrint and OPAS32 to market.
Nair holds B.S and M.S degrees in Electronics and Computer Engineering and
an advanced degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology
in Chicago. He has published numerous articles for the wireless telecom
industry.
As the head of the wireless products business, Mr. Nair has the following
objectives:
- Create a diversified product portfolio that takes advantage of convergence
between PC, Wireline and Wireless networks
- Build a team in Chicago, that working closely with the team in Milpitas
will leverage on each others strengths to create a first to market family of wireless products
- Establish key relationships with wireless carriers and NEMs to make PCTEL
wireless products a front runner in the industry
