Applications include cell phones, PDAs, ultra-thin notebooks, Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) The company focuses on developing highly integrated RF modules that are differentiated because of proprietary integration, modular architectures, and low loss Silicon technologies. The advantages of SyChip's technology result in predictable designs that are easier to simulate, quick time to market with solutions that meet customers' evolving needs; improved performance, such as faster data rates and lower power consumption; smaller size for portability; and integrated solutions that wed radio frequency (RF), Baseband and memory capabilities. End users, in turn, benefit from higher quality products, smaller size and lower cost. Sychip will be releasing its portfolio of WLAN products in 2H02. The portfolio will include an 802.11b NIC card in the Secure Digital (SD) form factor as well as modules for embedded applications.
