| Bob Whelan is the founder, chairman and chief technology officer for Wavelink Corp. Prior to establishing the company in 1992, Whelan led several business ventures in software development, most recently CIMS (Certified Inventory Management Systems), an inventory and re-ordering business serving manufacturers throughout the Northwest. More than a decade ago, Whelan envisioned and began engineering the future for wireless - a software platform that would enable enterprises to easily mobilize and automate their supply chain functions and business applications through the use of wireless networks and handheld devices. Out of this vision grew Wavelink, which has been one of the most widely adopted software platforms for developing, deploying and managing commercial wireless applications. Whelan is active in many of the leading industry associations, including WECA, WLANA and the Washington Software Alliance, and currently serves on the advisory board of Symbol Technologies. |
