Eric Janszen brings more than twenty years experience in product marketing, sales, and financial management to his role as CEO of Bluesocket, Inc--the global leader in systems to control and manage Wi-Fi wireless networks. Prior to joining Bluesocket, Eric was Managing Director of Osborn Capital LLC.
While at Osborn, the angel investment fund managed a portfolio of 20 technology startups and increased its net asset value from $8 million in 1998 to a peak of $100 million. Eric participated in seven liquidity
events of Osborn-funded companies; these included two company sales to Cisco, one to Microsoft, one to Nortel and one to EMC. Two portfolio companies, Arrowpoint and Interliant, conducted IPOs.
Prior to his role as a venture capitalist, Janszen held management positions at Cayman Systems, CenterLine Software, Instinctive, Media 100 and Stratus Computer. He has knowledge of a broad range of technologies,
including Internet infrastructure, IP networking, digital video, operating systems, and programming languages. A veteran of five startup companies, Eric also currently serves on the advisory board of Gold Wire Technology.
Educated at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Eric serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Telcommunications Council and was a 2003 Finalist for the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" award.
