| Ingo Willimowski was born in 1967. He received his degree Dipl.-Ing. in 1993 after his study at universities in Ulyanovsk/Russia and Mittweida/Germany. Since April 1993 he has been with IMST as a Systems Engineer. From 1995 he was project manager in several international projects and he takes the responsibility within IMST for the co-ordination of the standardisation work (e.g. representative at ETSI and UMTS-Forum). In 1997 he became head of the section Communication Systems & Networks. In this section European projects, like MEDIAN, WINE GLASS and ACCORD have been running. Experiences are in communication protocols (e.g. ISDN, ATM, IP, GSM, TETRA) and in architecture of communication networks and systems (like GSM, TETRA, BRAN, UMTS) as well as in project management. Mr. Willimowski has held lectures at different universities on Mobile Communications and Communication Networks. He is also responsible for IMST training courses on UMTS. He is chairman of the Technical Committee 5.2 "Communication Networks and Systems" of the ITG (Information Technology Society) of the VDE, the German Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies, and editor of the book "FMC - Fixed Mobile Convergence". |
