Jupitermedia Corp. announced that it is changing the name of its Web site,
newsletters and events for 802.11 technologies to Wi-Fi Planet. The move is
partly a result of the popular acceptance of the Wi-Fi name for 802.11x
technologies as well as part of the former 802.11 Planet properties'
continued expansion. New sections and conference program enhancements
covering topics such as WiMax and Voice Over Wi-Fi will be added to the
respective properties -- growth areas that will be made possible by the
enormous success of the Wi-Fi standard.
