Sal Viveros is currently the Wireless Security Evangelist at Network Associates. Viveros joined the company in April of 1997 and has held a number of different positions within the McAfee Security division.
With almost eight years experience in computer security, he was primary spokesperson for McAfee during the early virus outbreaks such as Melissa, LuvBug and Nimda. He has done numerous TV, Radio and magazine interviews including CNN, ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS discussing viruses and other security issues. With numerous speaking engagements at seminars and industry exhibitions around the world he is known as a virus security expert. Before he joined Network Associates, he helped launch Trend Micro, the third largest anti-virus company, into the US while working as product manager at TouchStone Software. Mr. Viveros started his career in software at Polaris Software in 1991.
Mr. Viveros received a B.A. in Business Administration with emphasis Marketing from San Diego State University.
