Prior to joining Gemtek, Ms. Cheong held a position as Operations Manager for the Wireless LAN Operation for Intel Corporation, where she was instrumental in bringing the WLAN start-up group from ground up and forging the operational alliance with Symbol Technologies. She has built entire operations team and the adjunct programs for several of the organizations where she practiced hands-on leadership for both strategic planning and tactical program management, by training, motivating and coaching. Throughout the years at Intel, she acquired a wide array of networking and operational knowledge via various other positions including Acquisition Program Manager for the Intel/Stanford Telecom Acquisition, Customer Program Manager for the Network Communications Group as well as Manufacturing Engineer for Internet Communications Group. Under her leadership, Stanford Telecom was successfully merged into the new Intel Cable Modem business unit within six months. While at Intel, Ms. Cheong specialized in business planning, operational development, process improvements, performing audit for manufacturing companies ranging in size from start up to several billions in annual sales.

Ms. Cheong graduated with honors from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering and concentration in Systems Integration.
