Alan A. Reiter has been analyzing leading-edge wireless communications
products and technologies for 25 years. In mid-1996 Mr. Reiter launched
the pioneering consulting firm of Wireless Internet & Mobile Computing
that helps jump-start new businesses and develops innovative strategies
for existing businesses as well as creating corporate tutorials and
public conferences.
The Chevy Chase, Md. firm provides strategies analysis of wireless data
around the world in the corporate and consumer markets employing such
technologies as TDMA, CDMA, GSM and wireless LANs. Wireless subjects
analyzed include: devices, access to corporate databases, information
services, finance, shopping, portals, entertainment, audio/video and
advertising.
Mr. Reiter established the world's first: cellular magazine, cellular
conference, wireless data newsletter, wireless data conference and FM
radio subcarrier newsletter. He also helped develop the first
independent U.S. trade association for public paging and mobile
telephones.
In March 2003 Forbes magazine named Reiter’s Wireless Data Weblog one of
the top five technology Weblogs on the Internet.
Mr. Reiter’s analysis about wireless communications and computing has
been quoted in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The
Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The San Francisco Chronicle,
USA Today, Time, Newsweek, Business Week and Fortune. He has been
interviewed on many TV and radio programs, including CNN, ABC, TechTV
and National Public Radio.
Mr. Reiter has an M.S. in Broadcasting and a B.A. in English and
Writing. He also completed postgraduate courses in science, technology
and foreign affairs, and in electrical engineering for
telecommunications.
