Dick Anderson, general manager, IBM Global Digital Media Industry, is responsible for the development and implementation of worldwide strategy and business plans for IBM's cross industry digital media initiative.
Mr. Anderson oversees global marketing, sales and solutions development for digital media, which includes rich media, content creation, management, distribution, as well as content protection and digital asset management.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Anderson was general manager, enterprise Web management, responsible for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies for IBM's use of the Internet and Intranet Web sites, including e-commerce and procurement via the Web for IBM business partners.
Since joining IBM in 1974, Mr. Anderson has held a succession of management positions including general manager, IBM Global Services, IBM Asia-Pacific; vice president, Networking Marketing, IBM United States and regional manager, Los Angeles.
Mr. Anderson received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and attended the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an IBM Sloan Fellow.
