Lynne Hill is the product unit manager for the Windows Security Trust Management team in Microsoft's Windows Product Division. Lynne manages the design and development of software technologies for Windows Rights Management Services, PKI and software licensing.
She provides the strategic direction for Microsoft's Windows Rights Management Services Product which enables enterprises to confidently control how and with whom they share their digital content and information. Along with Rights Management Services, she manages PKI shipped with Windows to deliver the business benefits of public key cryptography. Lynne also is responsible for developing software licensing technology based on Windows Rights Management Services that will protect applications and allow customers to easily activate and use the software they purchased as well as buy add-on packages.
Lynne joined Microsoft in June 1997 and has previously worked as group manager for the company's interactive advertising technology division; group program manager responsible for overseeing the inclusion of Internet-based voice features in MSN Messenger; and group program manager for InterPress, Microsoft's internal Web-based content management and publishing system;
Previously, Lynne held a variety of software engineering, architecture and engineering leadership roles at communications industry researcher Bellcore, now known as Telcordia Technologies. Lynne also worked as product line strategy and development manager for Claremont Technologies.
Lynne has a master's degree in computer science from Steven's Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in physics from The College of New Jersey.
She resides in Sammamish, Wash. with her husband, Doug, sons Matthew and Zachary, and family pet Kyra-a Keeshond breed dog. Away from work, she enjoys hiking, skiing, biking, traveling and reading. Hill is active in her community organizations and area public schools.
