As Chief Technology Officer, Alec drives Cloakware's technology direction and initiatives to ensure that the company's products meet customers' current and future business requirements for software protection. Alec also plays a large role in Cloakware's development of its software applications for the content security/DRM and enterprise security markets. Before assuming the role of CTO, Alec was Vice President of Products & Services at Cloakware and was responsible for product definition and service delivery.
Prior to joining Cloakware, Alec worked on international IT projects with Andersen Consulting and led systems integration and distributed control projects with Kodak and General Motors. Alec holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
Alec has been a speaker at key industry and security conferences including: Copy Protection Technical Working Group (CPTWG), RSA Conference, Intel Developers Forum, Software Business, Certicom PKCS, and The National Show - NCTA.
