Azita Arvani is the president of Arvani Group, helping technology companies commercialize new markets, develop new revenue streams, create winning product strategies and obtain interim management. Clients--involved with wireless services and applications, digital media, handheld computing, digital cameras, and document management systems--include leading wireless carriers and device manufacturers as well as promising start-ups.
Before founding Arvani Group, Azita served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at ActiveSky, San Mateo, Calif., a developer of interactive rich media technologies for mobile applications. Previously, she held executive positions with Xerox Corporation. As Director of Corporate Business Strategy in Palo Alto, Calif., Azita focused the marketing and business development of the spin-off that became ContentGuard, an enabler of Digital Rights Management for Web-distributed content. She also served as technical assistant to the Senior Vice President of Research & Development in Stamford, Conn. and helped manage the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and other research centers throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
A sought-after expert in wireless business opportunities, Azita has addressed venture capitalists and entrepreneurs in Stockholm at the invitation of the Swedish Trade Council. She has also spoken to visiting Finnish investors and entrepreneurs involved in wireless start-ups. Azita has appeared at numerous industry conferences-including Global Mobile, Seybold and the USC Center for Telecom Management. She holds an MS in Management from Stanford University (Sloan program), an MS in Computer Science (Honors) from the University of Southern California, and a BS in Math/Computer Science (Magna cum Laude) from UCLA.
