| Randy Terbush is Managing Partner of the Tribal Knowledge Group, which applies years of technology experience to guide startup and Fortune 1000 companies working to improve their businesses. Randy currently serves on the board of the Open Source Development Lab (OSDL), a Linux research organization founded by Intel, IBM, Computer Associates, NEC, HP and others. Terbush is one of the original co-founders of the Apache Software Foundation where he served as a director and officer. He is a recognized figure in the open-source software community. Terbush began his involvement with open-source in 1989, working on such projects as 386BSD/*BSD, Linux and X386/XFree86. In 1995, Terbush along with the other original Apache Group members developed the first version of the Apache HTTP server, which quickly became one of the most successful open-source projects in history. In 1998, Terbush founded Covalent Technologies where he held CEO and CTO positions. Covalent. Covalent provides enterprise support services and commercial software for the open-source Apache Web server. |
