Roberto B. Cavalcanti Chief Information Officer Conservation International
Roberto B. Cavalcantii is Chief Information Officer of Conservation International since May 2003. He heads CI´s IT Division, with 28 staff supporting a global network of over 50 offices. Enterprise applications include globally accessible knowledge management systems, financial databases, spatial databases, intranets and portals, and various communication tools.
Roberto was head of CI´s Brazil Program from 1998 to 2003. He is on leave from the University of Brasília, as Professor of Biological Sciences in the Department of Zoology, and was on the faculty of the graduate program in Computer Sciences. His professional interests include conservation biology, ecology, and information systems.
