David A. Desrosiers Member Wild Open Source
Currently a member of Wild Open Source, Inc., an Open Source consultancy, David A. Desrosiers, aka "setuid", is a Linux veteran, having over a decade of experience managing, testing, and developing Linux software and Linux-based solutions. David has held many positions, including developer, sysadmin, tech support, and trainer.In the Free Software space, David is the primary maintainer of "pilot-link", a suite of tools used to communicate between POSIX desktop machines and Palm handheld organizers. David is fluent in embedded development, design, and handheld technologies. Some of the other projects David is involved in include "Plucker"; an offline web and ebook reader for Palm handheld devices, "J-Pilot"; a desktop GUI application for Palm data, and many others, currently focusing on the Palm, handheld, and embedded space.
David has contributed to dozens of other Free Software projects over the last decade, and continues to do so every day. As Linux expert, his deep knowledge of security, computer forensics, system administration and configuration, software development, interface design, and system topology issues between platforms and hardware gives him a unique advantage of being able to "think outside the box" and design effective solutions for Wild Open Source's customers.
