(Located on the Expo Floor) |
K DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT
The KDE table will have two demo stations available for you to take the
upcoming 3.2 release for a spin. A KDE developer will be on hand to answer
any questions you might have about using the K Desktop Environment in your
enterprise.
KDE's new integrated personal information manager (email, calendar, and
addressbook) will be on display, including the greatly improved palm pilot
synchronization utility. The KDE Remote Desktop tool, which allows remote
administration and trouble-shooting, will be demonstrated, as well as how to
use Kiosk mode to lock down work stations and minimize user changes.
ABOUT K DESKTOP ENVIRONMENT
KDE is a powerful Open Source graphical desktop environment for Unix
workstations. It combines ease of use, contemporary functionality, and
outstanding graphical design with the technological superiority of the Unix
operating system.
