Keynote Speakers
Technology Evolves: e-business on demand The IT industry is experiencing a tremendous transformation, with open standards based technologies from the open source community like Linux, XML-based Web services, and the Open Grid Services Architecture leading the way. IBM's strategy of e-business has evolved to e-business on demand, but still based on open standards based architectures. This new strategy allows businesses to become on demand - responsive to new challenges and opportunities, focused on core competencies, and employing new variable cost structures. The on demand business is supported by a highly resilient infrastructure that’s integrated, virtual and autonomic because it is built on open standards. This talk will explore this quickly changing landscape for business and IT and its implications.
Daniel A. Powers, Vice President, Grid Computing Strategy, IBM Corporation
