| Ian Oxman leads the email consulting practice for RappDigital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rapp Collins Worldwide one of the world's largest direct marketing agencies. Ian possesses 15 years of broad experience across the marketing industry. Ian has developed direct marketing services in the fields of: database marketing, segmentation analytics, direct mail, and since 1996, permission email. Previous to joining RappDigital Ian founded ChooseYourMail.com, which became a pioneer in the email list industry. ChooseYourMail.com grew from a 1997 bootstrap startup into a recognized industry leader. While at ChooseYourMail, Ian spearheaded advocacy efforts to protect consumer privacy and educate marketers about "permission" marketing techniques. Ian regularly speaks at Internet and Marketing conferences and authors columns on tech marketing for the Chicago Tribune, DM News, and other publications. Ian is also a faculty member of the Direct Marketing Association and participates on the Association for Interactive Marketing's Council for Responsible Email. Prior to founding ChooseYourMail, Ian directed product development for Experian Business Marketing Services in Orange, CA and a division of Great Universal Stores, U.K. Experian provides marketing data, modeling, and consulting services to dozens of Fortune 500 companies. Several of the products developed by Ian during his time at Experian were industry firsts including Smart Targetstm, BusinessOwner Link, and PurgePlus. Prior to Experian, Ian created databases products for Information Resources, Inc. based in Chicago. In 1987, Ian lead the development of the first ever CD ROM video database introduced into the grocery industry; the National Product Library. The product continues today as a $20M+ revenue stream. In 1985, while working for NabScan, Inc. based in New York City, Ian participated in the creation of the first on-line sales tracking service utilizing grocery store scanner data. This landmark service created an entire segment of the market research industry which now generates annual revenue nearing $2 billion. Ian graduated in 1985 from UCLA with a BS in Kinesiology and earned his MBA from cross-town rival University of Southern California in 1994.
