Debbie Weil is publisher of WordBiz Report, the first email newsletter focused on online copywriting and the business of words online. Words (the copy and content) are what drive revenues online, whether it's an email promotion, an e-newsletter or a company Web site.
Online words propel sales, registrations, downloads or any metric for "converting" clicks into customers. Words also drive search engine results.
Seth Godin has declared: "If you're in the business of selling (or even giving away) your words, you've got to pay attention to Debbie Weil and WordBiz. Anything else is malpractice!"
Debbie consults with clients large and small on how to develop B2B, lead-generating e-newsletters from concept to launch - as painlessly as possible.
She also writes ClickZ's widely read column on B2B Email Marketing.
She is a former reporter who did time in a corporate marketing cubicle (ahem, we won't identify this brand name Internet company) before escaping to become an entrepreneur and founder of Washington D.C.-based WordBiz.com, Inc.
She has been immersed in the Web and the Internet for almost a decade. In 1995, she co-founded DC Web Women, now widely recognized as a leading online community and resource for women in new media.
Debbie holds a B.A. in English from Harvard, a Masters in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Georgetown University. You can reach her at debbie@wordbiz.com.
