| Dr. Alexander Karapetyan is a Researcher at Haas School, University of California at Berkeley. Alex holds a Ph.D in Applied mathematics from the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. In the early 90's Alex served as Expert for the Office of the President of Russia in Moscow, where he devised a set of mathematical and statistical models of the post-USSR Russian economy. After moving to the United States, he worked for Intel, and served as Director of the Geographic Information Systems Division of the International Center for Development Policy in Washington, D.C.
