Jacques Belissent is a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems. He has been developing and architecting messaging and collaboration infrastructure products since 1995, first at Steria in France, and at
Sun since 1996. At Sun he participated in the development of Sun ONE Messaging Server, Sun ONE Calendar Server, and most recently led the Sun ONE Instant Messenger engineering team. Jacques is an active
participant in Java Community Process initiatives involving presence and instant messaging, and holds a number of patents for messaging and real-time collaboration technologies.
