Codespear, LLC specializes in the development and marketing of innovative software applications. Codespear's primary product development efforts focus on an Urgent Communication application that expedites the broadcast of information across an organization or agency to ensure rapid response to critical developments such as emergencies, virus implications, and major operational events, etc. In addition, Codespear develops interactive Kiosk based applications that address the need for highly intuitive and interactive solutions for walk-up inquiry and point of sale functions. Codespear's applications are used by enterprises ranging from the middle market to the Fortune 500, including Quicken Loans and Ford Motor Credit. Codespear, LLC is a privately held company headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan.

SmartMSG - Urgent Broadcast Over IP Solution

Codespear's flagship product is "SmartMSG", an application that addresses the need for the expedited broadcast of urgent and critical communication to personnel, by eliminating the reliance on traditional information delivery, which tends to be ignored. SmartMSG executes independently of an organization's existing E-Mail infrastructure, and can serve as an excellent back-up to corporate E-Mail systems, when brought off-line by virus attacks and E-Mail server outages.

SmartMSG employs a distributed architecture providing for mission critical reliability with automated fail-over capabilities. This distributed broadcast over IP application can burst simple, or multi-media based messages via Network Address or Computer Name to an entire personnel base, designated departments, groups, and/or geographic locations. When directed to a user's computer, SmartMSG demands a user's attention and action by displaying an impeding Pop-Up Message dialogue, not allowing the user to effectively perform other functions, until an urgent, or critical message is acknowledged.

SmartMSG can force simple acknowledgement, or custom responses, based on the type of message being broadcasted. User Profile and Message Routing Rules also allow for the automated routing of broadcast messages to Mobile Phones, Text Pagers, and Wireless PDA's. SmartMSG also provides an encrypted "IM-Chat" function, Virtual Conference Room & Collaboration capabilities, and LDAP / Active Directory integration.
