Joe Hildebrand

Joe Hildebrand is responsible for the technical vision of Jabber Inc.'s product line. He is a member of the Jabber Software Foundation, an elected member of the Jabber Council, and works on several Jabber open source projects. Previously, as Chief Architect for a regional IT consulting company, Hildebrand built frameworks and a team of technology leaders that enabled rapid automation of complex business processes. Prior to that, he designed and implemented systems for sending and parsing Department of Defense battlefield messages. Hildebrand holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he decided to write code after building a control system for a robot used in the nuclear industry.
