Ted Collins is responsible for the development and integration of divine's collaboration technology business. He has more than 15 years of success as an entrepreneur in the software industry, having founded and grown five profitable start-ups. Most recently, Collins co-founded OpinionWare, where he served as president and chief executive officer. divine acquired OpinionWare in April 2001.
Prior to OpinionWare, Collins served as senior vice president of the Internet Advance Group within PLATINUM technology, inc., a $1 billion provider of information technology management software and services that was acquired by Computer Associates in 1999. At PLATINUM, he oversaw the development, acquisition, and launch of the company's Internet-related products and services.
Throughout his career, Collins has continually produced immediate turn-around and accurate results, a key to success in high-tech business. While at computer hardware and software companies Mentus Group, Inc., and ViaTech Development, Inc., he led the development of products from concept through production and installation in less than 120 and 180 days, respectively.
Collins earned bachelors' degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics and English from St. John's University in Minnesota. He completed much of his English studies at Trinity and New College at Oxford University in England. Collins also holds a juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law in Minnesota.
