Francis deSouza is a veteran of Instant Messaging with a history of
successfully bringing products to market in startups and large
organizations. Francis is the founder and CEO of IMlogic Inc., a provider
of enterprise IM applications and a member of the Boards of Agital, eDial
and Infolenz. Prior to founding IMlogic, Francis ran Microsoft's Real-time
Collaboration Group and was responsible for Exchange Instant Messaging,
NetMeeting, Exchange Conferencing Server and Exchange Chat. Before
Microsoft, Francis was the co-founder and CEO of Flash Communications, a
provider of a patented federated Instant Messaging client/server product
(the world's first) for the enterprise market. Microsoft acquired Flash in 1998. Mr. deSouza was previously a Senior Consultant in the C4(Communications, Computers, Consumer Electronics and Content) practice with Gemini Consulting and advised senior clients across Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Mr. deSouza has worked in R&D at IBM T.J. Watson Research Labs and the MIT Media Lab. Francis has a BS and an MS from the MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
