Don Dodge joined Groove Networks in September 2001 as vice-president of
product management. Don is responsible for setting product requirements,
satisfying customer needs, and helping to shape the vision and market
positioning for Groove products.
Don comes to Groove from Bowstreet where he was vice president of product
marketing. There Don lead the overall product strategy, positioning, and
messaging for Bowstreet's industry leading XML Web Services environment.
At Napster, Don was vice president of product development and helped lead
Napster through their hyper-growth stage to become the fastest growing
application in the history of the Internet. He was responsible for client
software engineering, product management and customer support.
Prior to Napster, Don was director of engineering at Alta Vista, one of the
Internet's premier media and commerce networks. He led the team that is
responsible for the first ever, and still the largest, multi-media search
engine for images, video and music.
Prior to his work at Alta Vista, Don led business development at the Palo
Alto Research Labs for Compaq and Digital Equipment. He spent ten years in
various finance and product management roles at Digital Equipment and fused
a joint development and marketing relationship with Forte Software.
Don has served on the board of advisors for SiliconInvestor, PeakXV
Networks, CrossCommerce, and EVEO.com.
Don, a native New-Englander, holds an MBA from New Hampshire College and a
BS in accounting from the University of Southern Maine.
