Stephen Hagan has worked extensively in the design and construction industry to integrate information technology into programs and projects.
Hagan is currently leading an effort to develop and deploy a nation-wide Project Information Portal (PIP), an enterprise-wide program management tool for multi-billion dollar capital construction programs. Built on a Lotus Domino platform, the PIP leverages the power of a messaging infrastructure already in place for 14,000 users, and can potentially be used to extend real time information to customers and external service providers.
Steve has promoted, developed and deployed project integration and information technology tools to enable communities of project managers, design professionals, executives, facilities managers and strategic partners to work more effectively across the enterprise.Ê
Hagan serves on the aecXML Project Management working group, is a member of the Construction Industry Institute's Fully Integrated and Automated Project Process (FIAPP) Steering Team, the Construction Specification Institute's team to develop an Overall Construction Classification System, and the National Institute of Building Sciences' Electronic O&M Manual initiative.
Hagan has lectured extensively and lead symposiums on the subject of the digital revolution in design and construction.
Educated as an architect at Yale College and the Yale School of Architecture, Hagan has over 24 years of experience in the management of complex, multi-million research facilities. His capital construction experience includes managing the design and construction of state of the art laboratories at the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
