As Senior Vice President for Yahoo! Enterprise Solutions, Steve Boom is
charged with the development and strategic direction of Yahoo!'s delivery of
solutions to the enterprise,
including Web-based communications, collaboration and content solutions, as
well as Yahoo! professional services and consulting. Yahoo! Messenger
Enterprise Edition will be a key offering for the Enterprise Solutions group
in 2003.
During his more than four year tenure with Yahoo!, Boom has held several
leadership positions. Most recently, as Managing Director of Yahoo!
Enterprise Solutions in Europe for the past two years, Boom led the launch
of Yahoo!'s European enterprise operations. He built the European team from
the ground up and was instrumental in striking deals with many of Yahoo!
Enterprise Solutionsâ key accounts including HSBC, Bayer, Merck, and BBVA.
Earlier, he served as Business Development Director for Yahoo! Europe, where
he was responsible for pursuing strategic alliances and defining new
business models for Yahoo!'s consumer business, with a particular focus on
the European telecommunications and financial services markets.
Prior to Yahoo!, Boom was an attorney with the Venture Law Group in Silicon
Valley, where he was responsible for advising high tech clients such as
Yahoo!, Intel, WhoWhere? and Moai Technologies.
Boom holds Bachelors of Arts and Science degrees from Stanford University,
and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
