Peter Coppola joined Akonix as vice-president of product marketing with over 20 years of product development and marketing experience. Most recently he was vice-president of product management and responsible for providing leadership and direction for all product and service offerings at Aerocast. Prior to joining Aerocast, Coppola was director of product marketing for the Networking Business Unit of real-time software industry leader Wind River Systems. Previously he was vice president of marketing for Routerware, an embedded networking software supplier acquired by Wind River. Coppola was director of product marketing at NetManage, the industry leader in TCP/IP connectivity applications, leading the Core Products division. He came to NetManage via the acquisition of AGE Logic where he served as director of engineering, as well as vice president of engineering at Pacer Software, which was acquired by AGE Logic. He began his career in the computer industry at Prime Computer and Stratus Computer where he held marketing and engineering positions.
