Dev Prabhu is Senior Development Manager in the Real-Time Collaboration Products group at Oracle Corporation. His current focus is on adding integrated Instant Messaging and Presence capabilities to Oracle's real-time collaboration product. He has extensively worked on and managed the development of cobrowsing, document presentation, and recording/playback features while leading the Collaboration Modes team at Oracle.
Prabhu has over 13 years of experience in the area of software development. Prior to joining Oracle Corporation, he worked on high-performance computing and code parallelization on large-scale multiprocessor computers and Beowulf clusters at one of Department of Defense's supercomputer facilities. He has successfully optimized and parallelized a number of codes, resulting in significant cost savings to the DoD. He has also worked on developing techniques and software for signal and image processing using neural networks at NASA.
Prabhu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from IIT-Madras, and a Master’s and Ph. D. from Cornell University.
