Dan Gill is an Assistant Professor of Computer Technology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Professor Gill's primary areas of interest are Object-Oriented Enterprise Systems driven by innovations in Java Technology. He has been involved in research and development of Object-Oriented Systems since the early 1980s, and has held R&D positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Exxon Research and Engineering, and a number of Wall Street financial institutions. He has taught graduate level Computer Science courses in operating systems, distributed, and Object-Oriented Technology at a number of prominent universities in the Northeast U.S. A published speaker/author at leading edge software development conferences worldwide, Dan has most recently been involved with the Java platform and related technologies since 1995.
