Denis Martin brings 20 years of systems and software development experience to his role at NaviSite. As SVP of Product Strategy, he leads several teams, from product management to services delivery and support. Before joining NaviSite, Denis ran the national hosting and application services organization for AppliedTheory Corporation. He has extensive experience in network-based computing and outsourced delivery of business solutions with enhanced managed services.
Denis pioneered the concept of using TCP/IP to tie together diverse systems and databases for information retrieval and analysis, and for communication. One of his notable achievements, the America's Job Bank project, integrates legacy databases with the U.S Dept. of Labor's Internet site as well as with State Department of Labor offices in over 30 states. Denis was senior director of software engineering at NYSERNet, the world's first regional Internet service provider. Prior to joining NYSERNet, Denis earned an MS in Information Systems Engineering from Polytechnic University and a BA from Clark University.
