Alan Nance has been at the fore-front of the creation and permeation of ITSM for over 20 years. As one of the founding brothers of ITIL®, he has stood at the helm of many successful ITSM projects, including one of the most successful implementations of ITSM to date, at Hewlett-Packard. Since his last successful appearance at the ITSMF, in 2002, he has concentrated on ITSM in the context of global (out)sourcing deals and consulting to large organizations on the concept of optionality. In April of 2004, after seven years at HP, Alan returned to private practice as an Executive Consultant for organizational improvement.
