Thomas Bishop

Tom Bishop has more than 20 years of industry experience and has served in a variety of senior technology and strategist roles throughout his career. He is well known as a technology innovator, holding nine patents in fault tolerant computing and leading the development of industry standards such as the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) and POSIX. As CTO of VIEO, Inc., Bishop pioneered the architecture and design of an applications-focused, quality of service-oriented enterprise systems management solution. During his tenure as CTO at IBM Tivoli, Bishop created and led Tivoli's distributed systems management technology and products. Bishop holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Cornell University.
