After a 10-year career as a US Naval Officer, Travis started in IT as a systems engineer for an application development and hosting firm. Travis was eventually promoted to the National Director of Data Center Operations, managing four data centers nationwide. He began experimenting with the ITIL framework in early 2002 and Travis was a key member of the implementation and continuous improvement team, funneling customer feedback into service improvements. Through this experience and formal training he earned the Manager's Certification in IT Service Management (ITSM). Having delivered a level of ITIL maturity, Travis had a desire to bring his experience to a broader market and founded his own consulting firm, ITSM Navigators. At NetIQ, his focus is to provide strategic sales support for customers implementing Service Management disciplines, as well as channeling feedback from his experience and customer engagements to ensure market leadership for NetIQ.
