Microsoft recognizes these challenges and has committed itself to provide detailed and prescriptive management guidance to its customers - the Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF). With MOF Microsoft has adopted and adapted ITIL to manage operations within a distributed environment. MOF is one of the most innovative approaches to implementing ITIL within a specific context. What You Will Learn: This course will enable you to: - Understand the essential elements of MOF
- Practice MOF process implementation through an exciting new simulation
- Relate ITIL best practices into a Microsoft environment
Attendees will also be given a detailed overview of the three core MOF models: - The Process Model: A lifecycle approach, where 20 integrated Service Management Functions are used to implement, operate, support and optimize services in the operational environment.
- The Team Model: A role-based approach of ensuring that ownership of processes is taken and performance is measured at every level of the organization.
- The Risk Model: A business-oriented model that provides a framework for assessing and managing risks associated with delivering IT services.
