Sheldon Borkin

Sheldon Borkin is responsible for the success of Cendura’s customers in their use of the Cohesion products. Dr. Borkin was previously Vice President, Information Security and Technology, at WebMD responsible for all aspects of the company’s information security policies, practices, and technology for both applications and infrastructure. He previously held other senior management positions at WebMD (Healtheon) in application development, technology strategy, and strategic account and partner management.
Dr. Borkin has also held positions consulting on computer security for the federal Office of HIPAA Standards, as Director of Engineering at Silicon Graphics, Director of Lotus Notes at Lotus, Chief Scientist at Bachman Information Systems, and Project Manager at IBM. Dr. Borkin has published a book on database systems, was awarded a United States Patent, and taught at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Dr. Borkin holds the Ph.D., E.E. and S.M. in Computer Science from MIT, and the B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. He is a certified information systems security professional holding the CISSP and GSEC accreditations.
