Mary Nugent is vice president and general manager of Service Management Solutions, a key line of business for BMC Software, a leading enterprise management software company. She is an accomplished software technology executive with expertise and in-depth knowledge in the emerging e-business marketplace and has been integral in setting corporate strategies in the fast-paced e-business arena and providing innovative technology to meet the high demands of her customers.
Mary is spearheading BMC Software's largest initiative, Business Service Management (BSM), which will transform the software business model. The intent of the BSM strategy is to provide solutions that will enable customers to link their IT resources tightly to business objectives and manage these resources based on business priorities by providing a "whole view" of their business and IT operations. Previously, Mary was vice president of BMC Software's Subscription Services business unit where she led critical corporate acquisitions that led to strategic technology developments for BMC
