Torrence leads the global Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Package Goods practice areas. In this capacity he is responsible for our client relationships with Bayer, Millennium and Gillette, while also supporting the global Digitas network of offices on strategy development and execution for other clients in these sectors.
Prior to Digitas, Torrence was Vice President/General Manager for Avenue A, a leading digital marketing company, where he was in charge of the New York client services operation, including strategy, account management, media and creative services.
Torrence was also a senior manager at Bain & Company, a premier strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, Torrence was a leader in the Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Products practice areas. He additionally advised a broad range of clients on corporate and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions, new product development, and interactive strategy.
Torrence has advised many of the world's leading healthcare/pharmaceutical and CPG companies, including: Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Schering-Plough, Novartis, Millennium, Gillette, Kraft, L'Oreal, Kodak and P&G.
He received a B.A. from Stanford University, with Honors in Economics and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
