Prior to WebWare, Carlos led Virage's product and marketing organizations.
Beginning in 1998, he was part of the senior management team responsible for
securing successive rounds of private equity financing and culminating in a
successful IPO in June 2000. Under his leadership, the product marketing
organization was responsible for developing and launching the Virage
VideoLogger®, Virage AudioLogger and the Virage Video Application
Server. Today, these products have become de facto standards, redefining
how content owners publish, manage, and distribute rich media to Global 2000
companies, government, and the media and entertainment industry.
At Apple Computer, Montalvo was corporate vice president and general manager
of the company's Interactive Media Group, where he was responsible for
driving Apple's business strategy for its suite of QuickTime® products and
related technologies, including QuickTime, QuickTimeVR, QuickDraw3D and
QuickTimeTV.
