Chip Terry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Walden media.
From creating award winning educational software and websites, to teaching
high school and college history Chip is uniquely qualified to make Walden
Media a compelling educational force.
Chip received a Ph.D. in American History from Boston University, where he
received a full fellowship, studied under a Pulitzer Prize winning
historian, and won awards from the American Historical Association and
others. He also developed and taught various high school and college
classes.
After graduate school, Chip joined The Princeton Review where he launched
innovative educational CD-ROMs that came to dominate their categories. From
there he moved to Cahners Business Information where he created the first
eCommerce site for a billion dollar publishing company. Most recently he
was Vice-President of Product Management for HomePortfolio.com, a start-up
company backed by over $70 million in venture capital from Conde Nast,
Meredith, HGTV and others.
He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife, daughter, son, and dog.
In his limited spare time, he is a competitive sailor, avid reader, and
plodding skier.
