As Director of Marketing for IBM Digital Media, Amy is responsible for
marketing and strategy of IBM’s Digital Media Solutions and services organization.
IBM is the world's leading e-business company offering a wide range of services,
solutions, software and technologies that allow businesses to take full advantage
of the exploding digital media market. IBM's digital media solutions extend new
and existing e-business applications to the emerging rich-media market for
organizations that are deploying. IBM has pioneered digital media across many
industries and geographic locations and together with our partners, has developed
digital media solutions in the retail, telecommunications, government, media and
entertainment, health care, and financial services industries.
She was responsible for brand leadership for the largest portfolio of wireless
services in the market today. She oversaw market strategy for IBM’s consulting,
architecture, integration, security and hosting services supporting wireless local
area networking, smart chip systems, wireless payments, business-to-machine and
location-based wireless deployments to enterprises and service providers. According
to International Data Corporation, IBM ranks first in wireless professional services
with 25 percent market share. She maintains that wireless is the next logical evolution
of e-business because it untethers the enterprise, creates cost efficiencies, new
business models and brings companies closer to their customers, employees, suppliers
and shareholders.
Amy’s IBM career spans 20 years on the ‘leading edge,’ helping IBM’s customers use
emerging technologies for competitive business advantage. She has extensive experience
applying e-business technology in consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals and media
and entertainment industries, including the delivery of demand generation, awareness
and sales enablement programs.
Her work includes the development of customer-centric marketing programs to support
brand awareness, growth in market share and rapid growth of revenue for IBM and her
clients. In addition, she has done extensive work in using e-business technology for
training.
In IBM’s media industry, Amy developed and implemented integrated marketing plans
for e-commerce solutions in the cable and publishing industries. In addition, Amy
developed Web-based marketing programs that leveraged brands such as Meredith Corp.,
Better Homes & Gardens, the New York Times and Financial Times of London. Her
expertise in interactive Web media grew out of early involvement with animated
multimedia programs she designed and executed, both for IBM and her own company.
Her customer list comprises a “who’s who” in the Fortune 100.
A graduate of Syracuse University, Amy earned a master’s degree in technical
communication at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her numerous awards include
the Art Director’s Club of America and IBM Marketing Excellence Awards.
