Ms Xihong Deng is current the CEO of Molecular Nanosystems, Inc. in Silicon Valley. She has more than 12 years of experience on Wall Street and co-founded several biotechnology and high technology companies (Op40, GenPhar) in the United States. Prior to joining Molecular Nanosystems, Ms. Deng worked in Hong Kong and New York for J.P. Morgan Chase. In New York, she was Vice President of the equity department; in Hong Kong, she managed investment-banking operations for international clients in China and Hong Kong. She also worked in equity capital markets and private placement groups at J.P. Morgan Chase. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Chase, Ms. Deng worked in the fixed income research group of Citibank's North American Investment Banking division.
In the past three years, Ms. Deng has co-founded several bio-tech and hi-tech start-ups and serves as the board directors for five private companies in USA. She has actively helped those companies in raising capital, conducting strategic and financial planning, and communicating with US and Asia investor community and planning for strategic acquisition and potential IPO.
Ms. Deng is the former chair of the Chinese Finance Society, and serves as a board member of the Advisory Committee of the Asian American Business Development Center in New York. She is the financial advisor for "People's Daily" in China. She is also the financial and strategic advisor for several Chinese enterprises, including ChinaWeal Group, one of the biggest telecom service players in China, and Tsinghua Gene City Group, one of the leading pharmaceutical and biotech holding company in Shenzhen.
Ms. Deng received a Master's Degree from the Computer Science Department of State University of New York at Stony Brook under a Ph.D. Scholarship program. She also received a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing. She completed certificates of Investment Banking training from the J.P. Morgan Corporate Finance Training Program, and the Citibank Global Finance Training Program. She holds NASDAQ Series 7 and 63 licenses.
