Jim Van Huysse is the Executive Director and General Manager of America Online’s Radio@ Network, where he oversees all business strategy and programming for AOL’s network of leading radio products including Radio@AOL, Broadband Radio@AOL, Spinner.com, Radio@Netscape and Radio@Netscape Plus.

As General Manager, Mr. Van Huysse is responsible for all initiatives across the Radio@ platform. He leads a team of diverse team including expert music directors and audio engineers, as well as highly skilled operations and product developers. Mr. Van Huysse builds upon his years of prior experience to shape the rapidly growing online radio space, which already boasts nearly 39% of online Americans as active listeners.

Mr. Van Huysse had previously served as Director of Audio Programming for AOL, where he was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the launch of the company’s first built-in radio players for the AOL service and Netscape.

A true pioneer of the online radio arena, Mr. Van Huysse joined AOL through the acquisition of Spinner.com in 1999, where he served as the Director of Content. Since joining Spinner.com in 1996, Van Huysse led the company’s audio programming group in the expansion and maintenance of its entire music library. Through his tenure with the company, he helped to grow the business from 40 channels to over 140 channels, while the audience grew from 50,000 to more than one million unique users per month. Previously, he had served in various capacities at Oracle Corporation.

Mr. Van Huysse holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in English, with a minor in pre-med, from the University of Illinois.
