Scott Young
Vice President Business Development – Entertainment Services
Best Buy
As Vice President of Entertainment Services, Scott is responsible for developing and managing new entertainment services for Best Buy. As part of his work in this area, Scott lead the efforts to develop the NetFlix and Best Buy Rhapsody business opportunities, as well as other new services for the company. Scott originally joined Best Buy in 1999 as part of the leadership team that launched BestBuy.com, and has been responsible for initiatives including the launch of the Software and Games stores, Digital Music Store and the Best Buy Entertainment Site.
Prior to joining Best Buy, Young was Vice President of Strategic Marketing for BMG Entertainment. Prior to BMG, Young was Vice President of Special Markets and Business Development for Priority Records.
A native of Pennsylvania, Young earned his BA from Yale University in 1985 and his MBA from UCLA in 1992.
He resides in Wayzata, Minn. with his wife and two children.
